    News

Matthews finished with 21 points (8-15 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two steals, one rebound, and one assist in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 114-113 loss to the Lakers.

    Impact

Matthews bounced back after an eight-point dud Monday, connecting on four triples on his way to 21 points. Matthews has had a nice start to the season and appears to be reaping the benefits of having both Luka Doncic and Dennis Smith on the floor at the same time. Matthews could be rostered in standard formats but provides limited production outside of scoring and triples with some steals thrown in.

    News

Matthews provided eight points (3-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three assists and two rebounds across 39 minutes in the Mavericks' 113-108 overtime loss to the Spurs on Monday.

    Impact

Matthews couldn't get much going from the field, leaving him with one of the team's most disappointing stat lines in the overtime loss. The veteran wing had mostly been in vintage form up until the last two games, a stretch during which he's drained just eight of 27 attempts from the floor, including two of eight three-point tries. The 32-year-old's scoring total was his lowest of the season, and it also marked his first single-digit tally over the first seven games. He'll look to bounce back against the Lakers on Wednesday in what should be another particularly fast-paced contest.

    News

Matthews scored 22 points (5-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 10-12 FT) while adding seven rebounds, one assist and one steal across 36 minutes in Sunday's 113-104 loss to the Jazz.

    Impact

Matthews did his part in getting to the charity stripe, reaching the line more than the rest of the team combined. Matthews needs to hit more shots from the floor to sustain his point total, but Sunday marked his fourth game over 20 points.
