Impact While both Haliburton and Sabonis had been the subject of trade rumors over the last several weeks, this deal seemingly materialized out of nowhere. It's a massive shift for both sides, as the Kings part ways with one of the gems of the 2020 NBA Draft class after just one-and-a-half seasons. Coming off of a strong rookie campaign, Haliburton continued his success this season, averaging 14.3 points, 7.4 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 2.0 threes while shooting 41.3 percent from deep in 51 appearances. He'll now head from one rebuilding team to another. In Indiana, Haliburton should immediately start at one guard spot, and he'll likely handle point guard duties for as long as Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) remains sidelined. Fantasy-wise, it's somewhat of a lateral move for Haliburton, though he could function as the Pacers' No. 1 option over the final two months of the regular season in the event Brogdon -- who's played in only two games since Christmas -- is shut down.

Impact Haliburton once again worked as the team's lead distributor in the absence of De'Aaron Fox (ankle), and the second-year guard responded with a career-high 17 dimes. He also was part of a starting lineup that saw all five players reach double-digit scoring. For good measure, Haliburton has now racked up multiple steals in three straight games.

Impact With De'Aaron Fox (ankle) missing a fourth consecutive game, Haliburton once again benefited from elevated usage, though he was able to capitalize on the extra opportunity Saturday after combining for only 18 points on 7-for-23 shooting from the field between the previous two contests. Expectations for Haliburton should remain somewhere between the two extremes moving forward, though he'll see a downturn in both his field-goal and free-throw attempts regardless whenever Fox is able to return to the lineup. All told, Haliburton has mostly been able to build on his promising rookie season, as he's mostly maintained his shooting splits from a year ago despite upping his scoring and assists average by 1.3 and 1.9 per game, respectively.
