Denver will battle New York at Madison Square Garden

With the Denver Nuggets coming off a loss in Atlanta, they will take on a Knicks team who is in dissaray.

While it looks as if the Nuggets should win this game on paper, they must beware since this could easily be a trap game.

After the incident involving Charles Oakley, it would not be surprising to see the Knicks crowd bringing the noise with a fire lit underneath them.

If the Knicks get going early, they will feed off this energy in the first half and carry on the momentum.

This could spell trouble for Denver if they are not able to slow down Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis, the Nuggets will have an up hill battle. They will be without Danilo Gallinari which means Wilson Chandler will have his work cut out for him.

If he can step up like he has been as of late, then Denver will have a good chance.

The Battle of the Euros

The debate about who has been better between Jokic and Porzingis has been a hot topic this season.

We will get to see who comes out on top in this game’s match-up. Both players can stretch the floor, are young euros, and have bright futures.

It will be an exciting game to see with these two players on the floor and trying to out-do each other.

Jokic has been kept down in the assists department as of late, so hopefully he can start facilitating the offense.

He will need to watch out for Porzingis from swatting his shots away since he has been known to get a massive block on occasion.

Porzingis is looking to get his production up after a sub-par month of January, so he will be bringing his A-game.

The battle of the Euros will be a fun and interesting match-up to watch at Madison Square Garden.

Denver’s deep bench

The Nuggets have been short-handed lately. Emmanuel Mudiay has been battling back spasms and they have missed Gallinari’s production contrary to popular belief.

On top of it, Faried went down with an ankle injury in the game in Atlanta the other night. As a result, this leaves the door open for the Nuggets to showcase their depth.

Look for guys like Darrell Arthur, Jamal Murray, Juancho Hernangomez, and even Malik Beasley to be involved in the game plan more than usual. Denver’s bench is one of the best kept secrets in the NBA. Believe it or not, but the Nuggets have a very deep bench.

Denver should have the advantage in this department considering the Knicks have one of the thinnest second units in the league.

If Malone is smart, he will exploit this advantage to help the Nuggets secure a win on this tough stretch they have coming up.
