Report: Steve Nash to produce film about NBA’s ‘Pistol’ Pete Maravich
Steve Nash made it clear that he wanted to transition into film-making once he retired from the NBA. His directorial debut was "Into the Wind" with ESPN’s "30 for 30" series.
His next project, reported by The Wrap, will focus on NBA Hall of Famer "Pistol" Pete Maravich. Filmmaker Brett Rapkin will write and director the film. Nash and his Meathawk Productions team will produce — along with Rob Goodrich, Ezra Holland and George Roy. Rapkin optioned the life right from Maravich via Podium Pictures.
Maravich is the all-time scoring leader in college basketball, with 3,667 points. After a brief NBA career, Maravich passed away when he was 40.
