Steph Curry loses Kawhi Leonard with multiple moves, then buries 3

Steph Curry has been locked in all season.

It was the matchup within the matchup.

Steph Curry vs. Kawhi Leonard — the most unguardable perimeter player against the best lockdown perimeter defender.

And on this possession, it wasn’t even close.

Steph faked going backdoor, making Leonard lose his balance, then ball faked him in the air, used an escape dribble and finally buried the corner three.

Unfortunately for the Spurs, it stayed this way throughout the evening, or at least until the start of the fourth quarter. That’s when Warriors coach Steve Kerr called off the dogs, put Curry and his 37 points on the bench, and let reserves finish off the 120-90 dismantling of the supposed top contender to the champs’ throne.
