Seahawks, Carroll fined $300K for physical practices

The Seattle Seahawks may be the reason the league is clamping down on pushy play in the secondary, but the NFL also is policing how physical the defending Super Bowl champs are away from game action.

According to USA Today, as explained by league spokesman Greg Aiello:

The minicamp this past June was highlighted by a fight between All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman and wide receiver Phil Bates that was caught by television cameras.

Seattle also lost a pair of organized team activities during the 2012 offseason due to excessive contact.
