Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook could miss 4-6 weeks after suffering a fracture in his right hand Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, according to reports.
Under that projected timetable, Westbrook would miss anywhere between 15 to 21 games. The All-Star point guard is scheduled to undergo further tests Friday in Oklahoma City.
Westbrook missed 36 games last season after undergoing three surgeries on his right knee, which he injured during the 2013 postseason. Before this string of injuries, Westbrook was arguably the most durable player in the league, having played in every game since entering the league in 2008.

The Thunder are already without reigning league MVP Kevin Durant, who suffered a broken foot before the season began. Oklahoma City is also without guard Reggie Jackson (ankle), guard Jeremy Lamb (back strain), forward Mitch McGary (broken foot), guard Anthony Morrow (sprained knee) and forward Grant Jerrett (ankle).
