Quick Hits: Memphis Grizzlies 94, Minnesota Timberwolves 101

While the Presidential Debate raged on last night, the Memphis Grizzlies played in their final preseason game. Here are some quick hits on their performance.

The Grizzlies traveled to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves for their final preseason game. The ‘Wolves will also be their opening night opponent on Oct. 26 in Memphis. Here is NBA.com’s box score.

  • The defense was awful for the first three quarters. Like, really bad. The biggest deficit was 40 points.
  • Wayne Selden showed up for the fourth though and knocked down 5-of-9 3-point attempts.
  • Karl-Anthony Towns looked like a monster, but I think some of it was a slightly injured Gasol on defense.
  • The bench unit made a great comeback and got the lead down to six towards the end of the fourth.
  • Deyonta Davis made his debut. He looked a little behind at times, but made a great block and will get into the swing of things as the season progresses.
