Another overtime, another stressful ending, another win. Suns outlasted the New Orleans Pelicans following some last minute heroics by Devin Booker and T.J. Warren. For a recap of the final minutes, read here…Warren continues to lead the Suns in scoring averaging 21.7. Although Booker’s career high 38 points against New Orleans helped his scoring average spike to 19.8…The last Suns team to have two players average over 20 points per game in a season was 2003-04 with Stephon Marbury averaging 20.8 and Amar’e Stoudemire averaging 20.6…Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker are shooting an ice cold 13-50 from three combined…The Suns as a team average .287 from behind the three-point line, good for 27th in the NBA; they averaged .348 all of last season…Tyson Chandler continues to dominate on the boards averaging 13.5 rebounds per game. Marcin Gortat is the last Sun to average double digit rebounds for a season with 10.0 in 2011-12). Though it is through only 6 games, Chandler’s number would set a franchise record for a season. The Suns are currently 2nd in the league in rebounding, 1.1 behind leader Denver…Eric Bledsoe is shooting only .676 from the free throw stripe at 23-34 on the season. Most surprising was the Lakers’ defense on Steph Curry who shot 0-10 from three, going make-less for the first time in 157 games…Klay Thompson only shot 2-10 himself..The Suns’ poor three-point shooting woes will not be helped by the Lakers’ league leading three-point shooting defense as their opponents have only made 48-172 for .279% on the season…Although their interior defense is the exact opposite at 30th in the league. Teams shoot .564% from two-point range, particularly playing directly into the hands of T.J. Warren…If the Suns foul the Lakers often, free throws will play against the road team as the Lakers shoot .842% from the FT Line, good for 2nd in the league…The Lakers turn the ball over with reckless abandon ranking 29th in the league at 17.7 per game…Although they force 17.3 turnovers per game, good for 3rd in the league…The Lakers currently have five players averaging over 10 points per game, led by D’Angelo Russell’s 16.7…Russell also leads the team in assists with 4.7…Julius Randle leads the team in rebounds with 8.3…No one on the Lakers Averages over .8 blocks per game…
