Paul Pierce will play his final game in Boston when the Celtics take on the Clippers before the Super Bowl. Here are some memorable moments of his time in green.

Paul Pierce will go down as one of the greatest Boston Celtics players in their storied history. He is the second leading scorer in franchise history, and led the 2008 championship team with his heroic performances throughout those playoffs.

Pierce was the main reason I became a Celtics fan growing up. He has had some numerous moments that I will always remember, so here I will display some of his best moments in the Celtic uniform.

Three pointer right in LeBron’s grill

I can remember this like it was yesterday. Boston was up by one with a minute to go in game five of the 2012 eastern conference finals. Pierce had LeBron James on him, but it didn’t matter.

In this case, “The King” couldn’t handle “The Truth”. Unfortunately the Celtics lost this series in seven games, but this is a shot that will go down as one of the more cold blooded shots in Pierce’s career.

Game winner over Al Harrington

I think my favorite part of this play is how pumped up Mike Gorman gets when Pierce nails a triple in Harrington’s face.

A lot of trash talk went on before the shot went up, but that’s what Pierce did. He always backed up his talk with daggers like this.

Pierce Silences Madison Square Garden

Pierce is one bad man, and he proved it again in 2012 against the New York Knicks. The step back was a vintage Pierce move in which he used on countless defenders, as it worked out here.

Another element that makes this moment great is when Nate Robinson fell over himself trying to celebrate with Pierce.

Second side note: Avery Bradley looks really young in this.

Pierce comes up big without Rondo

This was a huge performance in game two of the first round against the Atlanta Hawks in 2012. Rajon Rondo had been serving a one game suspension after bumping a referee in game one.

Pierce came into game two ready to bring his team back in a critical win that changed the series. Also notice Pierce hitting the Hawks with a Tebow after hitting big free throws.

Pierce and LeBron Duel in Game 7

The 2008 eastern conference semi finals ended with an epic duel between James and Pierce. James ended with 45 points, but Pierce’s 41 was enough to give the Celtics the victory.

This was a defining moment in Pierce’s career. When his team needed him most, “The Truth” delivered.

Paul Pierce named NBA Finals MVP

The culmination of everything Pierce did for the Celtics came when the Celtics won the 2008 championship. Pierce was named MVP of the series, as it was well deserved.

Pierce will always be remembered as a Celtic, and it will be a great day once his #34 is raised into the rafters among Celtics greats before him. Current Boston stars like Isaiah Thomas need to only look at how Pierce carried himself as a Celtic. He was truly an unforgettable player that was a joy to watch.
