During a timeout in Wednesday night's game between the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks recognized United States Army Sergeant First Class Luciano Yulfo, a veteran of 36 years.

Yulfo, who was injured on duty in Afghanistan in 2014 and recently retired from duty, had been on the wait list for a service dog for 18 months.

The Knicks didn't just honor this man who has dedicated a large portion of his life to serving the United States, they surprised him with Murphy!!

This special moment was produced by the Paws of War, a foundation that trains and places rescued dogs to serve and provide independence to United States military veterans who suffer the emotional effects of war.
