Paul scrimmages, wants to play Saturday
Chris Paul says he wants to play on Saturday night against the Sacramento Kings and believes he’s ready following his full participation in a scrimmage on Friday.
However, Paul still must get final clearance from a neurologist before he can come back from the mild concussion he was diagnosed with last Sunday.
The Hornets hope that happens by Saturday morning, if not before.
Monty Williams says the All-Star guard looks fully fit and is now practicing with no limitations.
Paul first returned to practice on Thursday for non-contact drills and shooting.
Paul is averaging 15.9 points and 9.6 assists for the Hornets, who entered Friday’s action holding the seventh of eight playoff seeds in the Western Conference.
