NBA ref displays some clamp-down defense on Stephen Curry

It seemed like no one could stop Stephen Curry on Sunday.

Well, no one except for referee Joey Crawford.

The Golden State Warriors sharpshooter had nailed his first five three-pointers of the game and was poised to knock down his sixth on a wide-open three from the corner. What happened next was a bit unusual.

As Curry went up for the jumper, referee Joey Crawford scampered in front of him to get a better view of Curry€’s feet near the three-point line.

It’s tough to say whether Crawford’€™s close-up actually affected Curry, but the Warriors guard clanked the shot for his first missed three of the game.

Luckily for Curry, the long-time NBA referee backed off on the D after that. Curry went on to light it up for 33 points on 10-of-20 shooting to lead his team to a 118-97 rout of the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 4 of the Western Conference quarterfinals.
