Meet the Wizards’ latest signing: A 10-year-old girl
The Washington Wizards may be getting ready for the playoffs, but that didn’t stop them from making a special signing on Saturday.
Meet the newest Wizard, 10-year-old Amaris Jackson.

Jackson, who is battling renal cancer, plays point guard for her school’s basketball team. But for a day, she got to play with the some of her heroes.

The Wizards signed her to a contract, gave her a personalized jersey and invited her into the locker room to spend some quality time with some of the team.

She watched warm-ups from the sideline with assistant coach and former All-Star Sam Cassell and later, a few players shot baskets with her and gave her the nickname "A-Money."
