Just a couple days after racking up 10 fouls in a game, Milwaukee Bucks rookie Thon Maker led his team with 17 points in a Summer League loss to the Dallas Mavericks Thursday. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was in the building to watch the game and joined the television broadcast, and Cuban was asked his opinion of Maker’s play.
Maker, who was born in Sudan before moving to Australia, was selected with the 10th pick in the NBA Draft amid controversy that he may be older than his listed age of 19. Some teams reportedly believe Maker to be 21 or older, and old yearbook photos featuring maker sparked wild Internet rumors. Maker addressed the controversy the night he was drafted and said the conspiracy theories about is age aren’t true.
