For all intents and purposes, Karl-Anthony Towns appears to be doing just fine from a dollars and cents standpoint. The 2016 NBA Rookie of the Year is in the midst of a contract that will pay him $11 million guaranteed through 2019, and he will almost certainly make tens of millions more after that rookie deal expires.
At the same time, no one turns down a chance to win some big cash, and Towns had a chance to do that Sunday night.
Prior to Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Towns appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where he had a chance to make one shot for $1 million. The catch: He had to make the shot across Hollywood Boulevard, which is no small feat.
