Heat suspend Green for 2 games over detrimental conduct

MIAMI (AP) Gerald Green has been suspended by the Miami Heat for two games after he was transported to a hospital last week for undisclosed reasons.

The Heat say Green engaged in conduct detrimental to the team, and offered no specifics.

The circumstances surrounding Green’s trip to a hospital last Wednesday remain a mystery.

He played in Miami’s first three games, missed a game on Nov. 3 because of what the team said was an illness, then needed to be transported by Miami Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital the following day. Police assisted first responders with that transport from a Miami apartment building, but no charges have been filed.

The next game Green would be eligible to play in is Nov. 17 against Minnesota.
