Jokic notched his first career triple-double as Denver snapped a two game losing streak.

The Denver Nuggets found their groove again as Nikola Jokic returned in fashion. He posted his first career triple-double with a stat-line that read 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists.

He was a life saver for the Nuggets as they were able to hold off a late surge from the Milwaukee Bucks led by Giannis Antetokounmpo. Wilson Chandler certainly played like he doesn’t want out of Denver as he put up 23 points to go along with 4 major blocks.

He even sunk 2 clutch free-throws in waning seconds of the game to secure the win for the Nuggets. With Portland in the 8th seed right now, tonight’s game was a must-win for Denver. Thankfully, Jokic and Chandler carried the load and lead them to a huge win.

This game was a huge confidence booster for this young team considering the slow week they have had compared to last week. Other key players that showed up to play for the Nuggets included Jamal Murray, Kenneth Faried, and Gary Harris. Denver did let Jabari Parker score 27 points, but they were actually somewhat solid in this game.

Gary Harris finished with 2 huge steals and Wilson Chandler, as mentioned already, had 4 blocks. He also had 2 steals of his own.

Faried was doing Manimal things by silently collecting another double-double. His 19 point, 11 rebound performance was more vital to the  victory than many fans realize.

What is very impressive is the fact that the Nuggets finished with 6 different players in double figures out of 10 who saw actual minutes. Talk about efficient offense.

They are glad that Jokic is back and now must turn their sights to San Antonio.
