The speculation surrounding free-agent forward Pau Gasol remains rampant, with his potential return to the Los Angeles Lakers reportedly still an option.
According to ESPN, Gasol would give "strong consideration" to returning to the team. Citing "sources with knowledge of the situation," the report says Kobe Bryant has advocated for Gasol’s return and that Gasol expects he could be prioritized more by a new coach.
The scenario for Gasol returning, though, would be on hold until other potential free-agent moves are worked out. According to the story, while several teams are expected to pursue Gasol, any move will wait on the decisions of fellow free-agent forwards Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James as many of the same teams are pursuing them.
