Detroit Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy sees big potential for his franchise center Andre Drummond.

After Greg Monroe left in free agency to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks, Drummond is left as the true big man in a lineup that should look to spread the floor more often than ever before.

With that new look will come more responsibility protecting the rim and cleaning the glass, but Van Gundy thinks Drummond is up for the challenge.

Here's what he told Ashley Scoby of CBS Detroit:

“It’s not easy to do this, but he’s a guy who’s capable of leading the league in rebounding and blocked shots,” Van Gundy said. “Not very many guys have done that because obviously, having to go block a shot in a lot of cases takes you out of rebounding position. … But Andre’s got the ability to do both and I’d like to see him do that over the next couple of years.”
