Rajon Rondo knows his shot can be better, so he sought help from the best teacher around.

Holger Geschwindner is the legendary shooting coach who helped mold Dirk Nowitzki into one of the sport’s greatest all-time players. According to The Dallas Morning News’ Eddie Sefko, before he went back to Germany, Geschwindner met with Dallas Mavericks point guard Rajon Rondo, who’s perpetually struggled with his jump shot.
“Holger helps everybody,” Carlisle said. “He spent quite a bit of time with him before the [All-Star] break, too. I’m pretty certain that work is going to be a positive thing.
“Holger is a brilliant guy when it comes to shooting. I don’t know if there’s anybody on the whole planet I would recommend more than him.”

Only time will tell if Geschwindner’s pointers will actually improve Rondo’s shot, but it says a lot for the proud four-time All-Star to seek outside help on a weakness that’s prevented him from being the best he can be. Not everyone is so willing to admit they have a flaw.
