Nets fans will find this story line all too predictable.

After a full season of good health, Deron Williams seems likely to miss the Mavericks' game Wednesday evening. So, what's the big deal here? Dallas is coming to Brooklyn for what was supposed to be the Deron Williams revenge game.

Williams left the Mavericks game against the Raptors on Tuesday early after straining a hamstring. He didn't return, and after the game, his comments seemed to imply that his status for Wednesday evening wasn't looking strong.

From ESPN's Tim MacMahon:

MacMahon described Williams as “unlikely to play vs. Nets.

That's a real disappointment for Nets fans. Surely, even after coming off a nice win over the Bulls, Brooklyn fans have been awaiting this night. In the midst of a 8-20 season, the least thing you can have is some schadenfreude for a past frenemy.
