Clippers to raise ticket prices next season

The Los Angeles Clippers plan to raise ticket prices by an

average of 15 percent next season. It’s the first price hike in six

years.

The team said Thursday that more than 9,000 seats at Staples

Center will increase by 11 percent or less.

Team President Andy Roeser says the club studied the pricing

strategy thoroughly and developed a plan mindful of its impact on

Clippers fans.

Season-ticket sales have been at capacity for the entire current

season for the first time in Clippers history.

The team was tied atop the Pacific Division with the Los Angeles

Lakers on Thursday, and the Clippers have sold out a long string of

home games dating to last season.
