LOOK: Kyrie Irving’s new shoe drops early — if you design your own
If you want to grab the first official colorway of the Kyrie 2, you're going to have to wait until this coming Tuesday. But if you can't abide waiting that long, you're in luck. You can get your hands on a pair of Kyrie 2s as of Wednesday — if you're willing to show off your creativity.
Nike made the Kyrie 2 available via its NIKEiD service, which allows consumers to design their own take on the shoe. The official release is slated for December 15:

If you're not one for science, here's what you need to know: Kyrie Irving is really good at basketball. The Cleveland Cavaliers can't wait to have him back. And his new shoe is on the market.
If you're feeling particularly proud of your work, show off your custom Kyrie 2s in the comments. We have faith that your aesthetic will blow our minds.

“Kyrie can decelerate from 13 miles per hour to virtually zero in 0.2 seconds,” says (ESPN Sports Science host John) Brenkus. “From there, he’s able to pick up the dribble and get off a shot in just 0.49 seconds.”
“On a step-back jumper, the point guard can create six feet of separation in only 0.37 seconds and then launch himself off the court so that the ball is released nine feet in the air,” Brenkus adds.
