Watch P.J. Hairston knock down this buzzer-beating prayer

Hairston is a significant variable in Charlotte's offense.

The Charlotte Hornets desperately need outside shooting if they want to compete for a playoff spot this season. That means guys like Nicolas Batum, P.J. Hairston, Jeremy Lin, Kemba Walker, Jeremy Lamb and literally every other player not named Al Jefferson needs to knock down threes when they let them fly.

On this buzzer-beating three against the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, Hairston showed he's carrying his weight. (Kind of.)

Hairston is shooting 33 percent from behind the three-point arc in the preseason. That number needs to rise just a tad if Charlotte is to provide a reasonable threat from distance this season, especially if Hairston replaces Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in their starting lineup.

But, for now, simply bask in the glory of this beautifully-timed jumper.
