Derrick Rose is unable to be with the Bulls at the moment, after suffering a fracture to his orbital bone that has left his eyes sensitive to light.

Rose is confined to his home, and isn’t expected to re-join his team until sometime next week. But new coach Fred Hoiberg is making the extra effort to ensure Rose gets the information he needs so he doesn’t fall behind during his absence. On Monday, Bulls.com’s Sam Smith tweeted:

Rose and the Bulls are optimistic the 2011 MVP and three-time All-Star will be back for the season opener, so it makes sense that Hoiberg wouldn’t want Rose to miss any critical film study.
