Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution addresses Atlanta’s current status. Call it a miniature “State of the Hawks” address. Despite their struggles, they’re still in the thick of the playoff race. If they can fix their problematic shooting, and get their defense together, there are reasons to be optimistic.
Vivlamore also breaks down how Kyle Korver gave second-year Piston Stanley Johnson a lesson in defending an elite shooter last night.
At Peachtree Hoops, Kris Willis recaps Taurean Waller-Prince‘s D-League debut.
Willis also writes on Atlanta’s fantastic defensive performance during their win over Detroit.
Graham Chapple of HawksHoop recaps the victory against the Pistons. Things that stood out include Dwight Howard‘s double-double, Kyle Korver’s hot shooting, and Kent Bazemore looking like himself again.
That’s it for today. We’ll see you tomorrow morning for more Hawks Headlines. I’ll bring the coffee.
