Dereck Lively II - Perfect from field Monday
Lively posted 12 points (5-5 FG, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals over 14 minutes in Monday's 121-116 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Impact Lively played just 14 minutes off the bench Monday, but he managed to connect on all five of his shots from the field. Lively was the Mavs' starting center for the first half of the 2023-24 regular season, but he ceded that spot to Daniel Gafford after the latter was acquired from the Wizards at the trade deadline. Lively will likely be the first big man off the bench for the Mavericks to start the 2024-25 campaign.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper - Three swipes vs. Memphis
Prosper logged 14 points (4-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-9 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block over 31 minutes in Monday's 121-116 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Impact Prosper got an extended look in the Mavericks' preseaon opener as multiple starters sat out of Monday's contest. He was one of four reserve players to score in double digits, and his three steals were second on the team behind Jazian Gortman (four). Prosper saw inconsistent playing time during the 2023-24 regular season, and he only appeared in two playoff games, both of which occurred during garbage time.

Jazian Gortman - Leads bench in scoring vs. Griz
Gortman finished Monday's 121-116 loss to the Grizzlies with 19 points (7-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists and four steals over 25 minutes.
Impact Gortman led the Mavericks in steals Monday, and he finished the game as the team's second-leading scorer behind Jaden Hardy (21). Gortman signed an Exhibit 10 contract with Dallas in July, and the 21-year-old is attempting to earn a permanent spot on the Mavericks' roster by the end of the preseason.
