Reed Sheppard - Ruled out for Saturday Sheppard is out for Saturday's game against the Pelicans due to a right thumb injury.
Impact Sheppard has been diagnosed with an avulsion on his right thumb, and while it should be a long-term issue, it's severe enough to sideline the rookie for, at least, one game. Sheppard's next chance to play will come against the Magic on Monday, although it's worth noting that his absence won't affect many fantasy decisions.

Fred VanVleet - Won't play Saturday VanVleet (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Pelicans.
Impact VanVleet will miss his fourth consecutive contest due to a right ankle strain. The veteran point guard returned from an 11-game absence due to the same injury in last Saturday's loss to the Kings, during which he aggravated the injury after playing 35 minutes. VanVleet's next chance to play will come Monday against Orlando, and he'll likely operate under a minutes restriction whenever he returns.

Bruce Brown - Ruled out for Saturday Brown (rest) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Rockets.
Impact Brown will sit out the first game of a back-to-back Saturday for rest purposes. He'll likely be back on the floor for the Pelicans on Sunday against Memphis, but New Orleans will likely turn to Jordan Hawkins to shoulder the load in the meantime.

Jose Alvarado - Questionable to play Saturday Alvarado is questionable for Saturday's game against the Rockets due to left hip soreness.
Impact The Pelicans will be extremely depleted for the first leg of this back-to-back set, and it's uncertain whether Alvarado will suit up due to this latest injury. A decision on his status will be made closer to Saturday's 7 p.m. ET tipoff, though his absence would thin the team's backcourt depth even more. Alvarado has been slumping of late and is averaging 5.0 points while shooting 25 percent from the floor in three appearances this month.

Brandon Boston Jr. - Out for at least two weeks Boston was diagnosed with a left ankle stress reaction and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Impact Boston has been out of action since Feb. 10 due to a nagging left ankle injury. He was set to return against the Lakers on Tuesday, but he was a late scratch after the injury flared up. Further testing has revealed an injury more serious than a sprain, and Boston's absence will continue for at least the next two weeks.

Jalen Green - Struggles with shot Green logged nine points (3-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, eight assists and one block across 34 minutes during Thursday's 109-97 victory over the Pelicans.
Impact This was an off night for Green, as he was held to single-digit points for the first time since Feb. 13. He's averaging 20.0 points, 4.3 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 three-pointers over his last 10 outings, but his shooting percentages and lack of steals and blocks has held him back in nine-category formats -- he's sitting outside the top-200 during this stretch.
