Brad Keselowski wins The Clash as the field wrecks behind him | FOX NASCAR

Video Details

Brad Keselowski stays in front of the mayhem on the final lap to win his first ever Clash.

ANNOUNCER 1: White flag in the air, one lap to go.

ANNOUNCER 2: Here we go.

ANNOUNCER 2: Ah, he messed up, he messed up.

ANNOUNCER 1: Now what's Logana going to do at this run. Logana's going to have to back up to Jimmy Johnson, and see if he can't get a run.

ANNOUNCER 2: You better slide in that opening right there, quick, quick!

ANNOUNCER 1: Now here comes a push from the 42, watch that go to the 41, push at 41. He's got a run on the 48, Jimmy Johnson. I think-- Oh, [INAUDIBLE]

ANNOUNCER 2: Not again!

ANNOUNCER 1: Kyle Busch into Larson into Johnson. And for what, the seventh year in a row? Jimmy Johnson will crash out of The Clash.

ANNOUNCER 2: That was so unnecessary.

ANNOUNCER 1: Checkered flag! Brad Keselowski, from last to first, wins The Clash at Daytona.

ANNOUNCER 2: He said he was going to win.

ANNOUNCER 1: Big cup of confidence.

ANNOUNCER 3: And now you've got the 42, and I believe the 18 is behind the 42. So he comes up to Jimmy Johnson, gives him a little shove, and that just turns him. The front nose on these Camaros is very pointed, and doesn't really line up great to the rear bumper, even of other Camaros. That's going to be something we're going to have to keep an eye on through Speedweeks.

ANNOUNCER 1: That was a pretty hard shot he gave, you know, I was almost-- it was harder than a bump.

ANNOUNCER 3: Well the aerial view should show the contact.

ANNOUNCER 1: Great head's up move by Kurt Busch to take that push from the 42 and Larson.

ANNOUNCER 3: And here comes Kyle in the 18 a big head of steam on Larson.

ANNOUNCER 1: Oh, they're coming fast.

ANNOUNCER 3: They all get together at the same time.

ANNOUNCER 2: I mean, I don't know if it would have mattered, the way that those bumpers are shaped or not, that was a big hit to the rear bumper of Jimmy Johnson.

ANNOUNCER 1: It really was.

ANNOUNCER 2: It takes so, so little.

ANNOUNCER 1: Brad Keselowski does it at Daytona, what a way to open up Speedweeks for Brad. Started last, finished first. How's it feel to be in victory lane at Daytona?

- It feels really good, thanks Vince. Last year we started first and it didn't go our way. And we were joking after the drawing-- Paul Wolf, you know, usually does the drawings-- and he didn't do them this year and we got last, and he said, look, this will be the year we win. And sure enough, here we are, Vince. It's a great way to start the season, with the Miller Light Ford, and I'm happy for everyone on my team.

This is the first time I've won anything in Speedweeks, I feel like I've choked them away. So it's nice to not choke this one away, Vince. But definitely a good day, and I'm really thankful for the team. Completely different package than what we've had here at Daytona ever before. So guys really had to show up with a way different car, and that's a testament to everybody at Team Penske, to work on and do that. So good day, great start to Speedweeks. Two more to go.

ANNOUNCER 1: Well done. Brad Keselowski wins The Clash, in a 1-2 finish for Team Penske.
