Sadler back in Cup for Charlotte race
Hermie Sadler will be in a second NASCAR Sprint Cup TRG Motorsports entry this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Andy Lally drives full time for the organization.
Sadler drove for the team once this season, competing in the No. 71 at Martinsville Speedway. Sadler has 61 career Cup starts to his credit.
Speaking to FOXSports.com, Sadler says he looks forward to being back in the car once more. The SPEED NASCAR analyst says that being behind the wheel time to time helps him with his broadcast role as well.
"I think being able to race a little bit will help me do a better job of telling the viewers on SPEED what (it is like)," he said.
Sadler said he will drive for the team at Martinsville as well. The schedules for both of those races work well with his television duties — and he will have more time to preare for the Martinsville race.
As to returning to the car, he speaks like the career racer the former Nationwide Series rookie of the year is. Sadler has two career wins in that series.
"I look forward to it," he said.
