Viva Motorsports announced Monday morning that 23-year-old Brandon Gdovic will make his NASCAR XFINITY Series debut in Friday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.

The Virginia, native will pilot the No. 55 WindStax Chevrolet as he attempts to make his debut in the series.

Gdovic has 47 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East starts, with a victory at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in April 2013. He also has two ARCA Racing Series starts, with a highest finish of eighth at Kansas Speedway.

Team owner Jamie Dick and Jeffrey Earnhardt have driven the No. 55 Viva Motorsports Chevrolet so far throughout the 2015 season. Dick has stepped away from the driving role after being diagnosed with diabetes after the Auto Club Speedway race weekend.
