Matt Kenseth is mad at Joey Logano again after Talladega incident

The bad blood between Matt Kenseth and Joey Logano may not be old news after all.

Late in Sunday’s GEICO 500, Logano drove Kenseth down to the apron of the Talladega Superspeedway infield, nearly wrecking him. And although, Logano let Kenseth back in line, Kenseth was clearly irked afterwards.

The two shared some words in the infield care center after they both were caught in another crash near the end of the event. Kenseth finished the race 23rd, two positions ahead of Logano.

Remember that last year, these two were the protagonists in the biggest feud in NASCAR, with Logano spinning out Kenseth at Kansas Speedway and Kenseth returning the favor by drilling Logano into the wall at Martinsville Speedway. That earned Kenseth a two-race suspension.

But the Talladega incident might indicate that last year isn’t ancient history.

"The 22 (Logano) ran me off the race track and that got me way behind so I thought we were done with that, but maybe we aren’t," Kenseth said. "So he ran me off the track and honestly I was just going straight here and just got ran into and then I was just hanging on."

For his part, Logano didn’t make too big a deal out of it.

Asked what Kenseth said to him, Logano said, "Not much. It’s unfortunate. We had a pretty decent car. I wouldn’t say it was the fastest car out there. … We worked hard all day, but unfortunately didn’t end up as well as we’d like to two days in a row. A couple big hits, so I can’t wait to get out of this place."

Logano was then told that Kenseth seemed angry with him.

"Okay," said Logano. "He can get in line with the rest of them."

Keep an eye on this one, folks. It could get interesting.
