Richard Childress Racing has announced Matt Borland will be the crew chief for Paul Menard and the No. 27 team beginning next season.

Borland earned 12 career wins as a crew chief for Ryan Newman at Team Penske from 2002 to 2006, and another victory with Newman at Stewart-Haas Racing.

Returning to the pit box for the first time since 2013 with Newman, Borland has spent the last nine years working at Haas F1 Team and SHR.

Menard will finish out the 2016 with interim crew chief Danny Stockman, who will return to the XFINITY Series for RCR next year.
