NASCAR on Friday afternoon released its entry list for the 58th annual Daytona 500, scheduled for Feb. 21 at noon ET on FOX.

With 44 entries and a field of just 40 drivers based on the rules of NASCAR’s new charter system, four drivers will fail to make The Great American Race and go home early.

With 36 drivers guaranteed automatic entry into the race per the new charter system procedures, eight drivers will battle it out for the four remaining spots in the 40-car field.
