It’s been a long, fun and exhausting week for Denny Hamlin after winning the Daytona 500.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver was on his game on Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway, however.

Hamlin, who on Friday conceded to probably getting only in the neighborhood of 24 hours’ sleep all week, led final practice for Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 with a lap of 188.450 miles per hour.

Martin Truex Jr., the driver whom Hamlin nipped at the finish line to capture The Great American Race, was second in “Happy Hour” with a lap of 188.226.

Hendrick Motorsports teammates Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Chase Elliott completed the top five.

Kyle Busch, who initially won the pole at AMS on Friday but was DQ’d in post-qualifying inspection, clocked in sixth quickest out of the 39 drivers in final practice.

As a result of failing inspection because of an issue with the rear end of his No. 18 Toyota, Busch will start last on Sunday’s grid for a race that marks the official debut of the Sprint Cup Series’ new low-downforce rules package for 2016.
