No All-Star Race Trackhouse Racing and Kaulig Racing have confirmed that van Gisbergen will not participate in the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, Racer.com reports.

Impact His win at the Chicago Street Course last season makes him eligible for the All-Star Race. However, Trackhouse Racing won't have a car for van Gisbergen to use, so he'll sit out the exhibition event. The team is already fielding cars for Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain and can't muster the resources for a third entry.

Impact After an extremely successful career in Supercars, Van Gisbergen announced a few months ago that he would move to the U.S. to run a number of NASCAR races in 2024 with the hopes of being full-time in the Cup Series in 2025. Now we know what the majority of his schedule will look like in 2024 with Trackhouse Racing loaning him to race full-time in the Xfinity Series alongside AJ Allmendinger and Josh Williams at Kaulig. Last season's Cup Series winner at the Chicago Street Race will race in NASCAR's top level at COTA (March 24), Talladega (April 21 and October 6), Charlotte (May 26), Chicago Street (July 7), Watkins Glen (September 15) and Las Vegas (October 20). More races could potentially be added to Van Gisbergen's 2024 Cup schedule in what is expected to be the No. 91 for Trackhouse Racing.

Impact Nothing has been officially announced by Trackhouse Racing, but the Kiwi indicated in a recent podcast interview that he hopes to do at least 30 starts across several NASCAR series and maybe as many as 40. Van Gisbergen commented that the bulk of those starts will be in the Xfinity Series with some Cup Series and possibly some truck starts mixed in. "It's just an experience year so I'm ready for hopefully '25 when I'm in the Cup Series full-time," van Gisbergen said.

Planning Full-Time NASCAR Gisbergen is aiming to be competing full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025, Speed Cafe reports.

Impact Gisbergen made a big splash last season with his spot start and win on the Chicago Street Course. He signed a developmental driver deal with Trackhouse Racing and is now planning a full-time move to NASCAR. In 2024 Gisbergen will make select starts in all three NASCAR national touring series, but he has an eye towards the Cup Series full time in 2025.
