As part of the "NASCAR Salutes" campaign, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver picked up a pen and crafted a special note to the servicemembers – past and present – who help keep our country safe.

"We are very privileged to live in a country where people are willing to fight for our freedom and safety," said Hemric. "I am blessed to do what I do for a living and the only way that any of us have that opportunity is because people are protecting us overseas and at home. A letter of thanks is the least I can do to acknowledge their sacrifice."
Sprint Cup Series driver Sam Hornish Jr. is another driver who expressed his gratitude.
