Bubba Wallace hopes to shred the competition in new paint scheme

Darrell "Bubba" Wallace will have an exciting new paint scheme for the XFINTY Series race at Chicagoland.

Darrell "Bubba" Wallace always hopes to shred the competition whenever he gets behind the wheel of his No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford in the XFINITY Series.

Now he’ll really have that chance.

Wallace on Monday revealed his "Shredder" paint scheme for the XFINITY race at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 17. The paint scheme is part of a weekend-long promotion for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race that will be held the following day at the track.

Nickelodeon is the entitlement sponsor of the Chicagoland event, which is the first race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

Wallace will join a number of other drivers with similar paint schemes for the Sept. 17-18 race weekend, including Danica Patrick.

Shredder, in case you have forgotten or never knew, is a character in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles saga who commands an evil ninja army called "The Foot Clan," which also will be featured on Wallace’s car that was revealed in the tweet below.
