Richmond International Raceway, the site of Sunday’s Toyota Owners 400 (2 p.m. ET, on FOX), has a storied history that dates back to World War II.
While the track has gone through several names and configurations, these are the 14 drivers who’ve found the most success at RIR.

Jimmie Johnson, 3
Johnson scored his three wins in a span of four races at Richmond in 2007-08. He's looking to add another this weekend and score his third straight win on the circuit.

Kevin Harvick, 3
All three of Harvick’s wins at Richmond came when he was driving the No. 29 for Richard Childress. He’s won the fall race in 2006 and 2009 with his only spring race win coming in 2013.

Denny Hamlin, 3
The hometown driver loves when NASCAR comes to Richmond. He’s scored three wins at the track but is always a contender to score the win. His first victory came in 2009 and he won the most recent race at the track last fall.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., 3
With the news that Earnhardt will retire at the end of 2017, Richmond serves as one of his better chances to grab a victory. He’s always run well on the 0.75-mile D-shaped oval. He hasn’t visited Victory Lane at the track since 2006, though.

Tony Stewart, 3
Smoke won the first race of career at Richmond International Raceway in 1999. His three wins came in his first seven races at RIR.

Terry Labonte, 3
Labonte won back-to-back at Richmond in 1994-95 and added his third victory in 1998 when the race moved its first event from one of the first races of the season to midseason.

Cale Yarborough, 3
Yarborough scored back-to-back victories in 1976-77 at RIR then won for the final time at the track in 1979. All three of those wins came when the track configuration was 0.542 miles.
Joe Weatherly, 3
Weatherly won three of four races at the track, which was a half-mile at the time from 1961 to 1963.

Kyle Busch, 4
Since joining Joe Gibbs Racing, Busch has been dominant at RIR. He won the spring race four years in a row from 2009 to 2012.

Dale Earnhardt, 5
In the 80s and early-90s, The Intimidator was part of a select group of drivers you’d expect to see up front at Richmond. He made it to Victory Lane five times and had a few more slip away from him.

Rusty Wallace, 6
Wallace was another one of those other guys who always ran well at Richmond. He swept the 1989 races and then won three more fall races before winning the spring race in 1997.

Darrell Waltrip, 6
Waltrip scored his first Richmond win in 1975 but ended up totaling five more victories over the next 10 seasons at RIR. He’d probably have more if it wasn’t for Bobby Allison.

David Pearson, 6
Pearson won three straight at Richmond from 1965-66 and battled Richard Petty for many years at the track, getting his fair share of triumphs.

Bobby Allison, 7
With names like Petty, Yarbrough, and Waltrip vying for wins every year at Richmond, Allison found plenty of room to beat them and grab the second-most wins at the track. His first win at the track came in 1969 and his final came in 1983.

Richard Petty, 13
Nobody dominated the short track like Richard Petty, who won on both the half-mile and 0.542-mile layouts of the track during his career. He won three of four at the track from 1967-68 but that would pale in comparison to his nine of 10 wins at RIR from 1970 to 1975.
