Helmet cam gives you driver’s perspective of a lap at the Nurburgring

When a racing fan speaks to you about the famous Nurburgring circuit in Germany, that person could be referring to the 3.2-mile Grand Prix course or the 12.9-mile Nordschleife.

Or, of course, that person could also be referring to the mammoth 16.1-mile configuration that combines the two courses, which is used by series such as the VLN Endurance Championship.

In the above helmet cam video by WestphalR, Jeff Westphal takes you on a ride around the full course during the VLN Qualifying session in an SCG003c. The video begins before Westphal even gets into the car, giving you a cool look at his ride, and then doesn’t end until after he’s returned to the pits and helped his co-driver get buckled in for another spin.
