Monster Energy Kawasaki has terminated its contract with Davi Millsaps effective immediately, the team announced late Thursday.
The team did not give a reason for parting ways with Millsaps and he hasn’t spoken publicly about the situation, but the 27-year-old rider told Cycle News the following: "I can’t comment on anything right now. Not until I have some more in-depth conversations with people that I have to talk to."
According to the press release, Monster Energy Kawasaki will not compete in the final three races of the season. Their second rider, Wil Hahn, continues to recover from injuries he suffered prior to Anaheim 1.
