MotoGP: Rossi, Marquez collision mars Malaysian GP while Pedrosa wins
The 2015 MotoGP World Champion will be decided in two weeks at the season finale in Valencia after Jorge Lorenzo beat his Italian teammate and points leader Valentino Rossi across the finish line in Sepang on Sunday.
However, the main talking point of the race happened when a battle for third between Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez climaxed with the Italian – frustrated that Marquez’s battle was causing eventual race winner Dani Pedrosa and second-placed Jorge Lorenzo to run away from them – looked over his shoulder and ran Marquez off the track, resulting in a crash for the 22 year old:

Rossi had raised eyebrows earlier in the week by accusing Marquez of supporting Lorenzo in the championship fight by racing himself harder than Lorenzo in last weekend’s Australian Grand Prix.
Meanwhile, neither of the two Yamaha riders was able to claim the ultimate prize, as Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa dominated the race from pole position. Jorge Lorenzo was second and Valentino Rossi was third, reducing the points gap from 11 to 7 points.
Valentino Rossi got 3 "penalty points" added to his license and thus will start the season finale in Valencia from the back of the field. The Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team is appealing the decision.
