J.R. Todd leads NHRA Funny Car at US Nationals
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Defending event winner J.R. Todd topped Funny Car qualifying Friday night in the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway.
Todd had a 3.910-second pass at 325.45 mph in a Toyota Camry during the first of three qualifying days and first of five qualifying sessions.
Mike Salinas led in Top Fuel, Tanner Gray in Pro Stock, and Eddie Krawiec in Pro Stock Motorcycle.
Salinas had a 3.756 at 321.04, Gray ran a 6.603 at 208.68 in a Chevy Camaro, and Krawiec had a 6.825 at 197.02 on a Harley-Davidson.
