One of the biggest announcements in the sim racing world this year has been the news that iRacing will soon be adding dirt tracks and cars to its service.

On Wednesday, iRacing released the first images of its dirt late model, dirt street stock and dirt sprint cars that its subscribers will soon be able to race around at tracks such as Eldora Speedway:

Additionally, iRacing has stated on Twitter that there is also a wingless sprint car in the works:

iRacing has recently been working on dynamic tracks and weather in order to – as accurately as possible – simulate the changing track conditions during the course of a race event, which plays a key factor in dirt racing.

A full feature on just how much work goes into building a dynamic dirt track for the sim was uploaded by iRacing to YouTube earlier this year.
