Formula E: Di Grassi helmet cam records full-power lap at Donington

Audi Sport ABT‘s Lucas di Grassi rode around Britain’s Donington Park last week with a GoPro camera attached to his helmet.

Above speeds of 200kph (124mph), the sound of the wind rushing by overcomes the sounds of the car, but it still remains the first time a Formula E onboard lap has been recorded at full power in dry conditions.

Di Grassi is one of 16 drivers who currently has a confirmed ride for the inaugural FIA Formula E 2014-2015 season.

Lucas di Grassi has been one of the top performers during the FIA Formula E test sessions at Donington Park, with only he and Sebastien Buemi having topped the scoring pylons during the series’ opening four days of testing.

FOX Sports 1 will have exclusive LIVE coverage of all 10 Formula E races beginning with the opening round in Beijing on September 13.
