– SAN JOSE, Calif. – Two years after their most devastating playoff loss, the San Jose Sharks finally get to play for the Stanley Cup.

– PARIS – Nine-time champion Rafael Nadal sets another milestone at the French Open with the 200th Grand Slam victory of his career. Novak Djokovic joins the Spaniard in the third round.

– BOSTON – Jackie Bradley Jr. tries to extend his hitting streak to 30 games when the first-place Red Sox play the Colorado Rockies and go for their fifth win in a row. Game starts 7:10 p.m.

– INDIANAPOLIS – With all the hoopla surrounding the 100th Indianapolis 500, Roger Penske has a celebration of his own going – the 50th anniversary of Team Penske.

– INDIANAPOLIS – The greatest driver in Indianapolis 500 history is A.J. Foyt, an AP survey finds. Foyt, who won the race four times, edges Rick Mears for the honor.

– CONCORD, N.C. – Qualifying for NASCAR's longest race, the Coca-Cola 600, is held at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Qualifying starts 7:15 p.m.

– FORT WORTH, Texas – Jordan Spieth begins play at Colonial, where he missed out on a playoff last year by one shot.

– ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Ariya Jutanugarn goes for her third straight LPGA Tour victory, highlighting the start of the inaugural Volvik Championship.

– BENTON HARBOR, Mich. – Bernhard Langer opens play in the Senior PGA Championship, eyeing an unprecedented career sweep of all five major senior events. Colin Montgomerie is the defending champ.

– MADRID – Cristiano Ronaldo will be the headline name for Saturday's Champions League final in Milan between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

– Justin Gatlin is intent on usurping Usain Bolt as the world's greatest sprinter. Their rivalry heading into the Rio de Janeiro Olympics is sometimes portrayed as ''good vs. evil'' given Gatlin's doping history.
