A river running across the Interlagos circuit in Turn 3 led to many cars spinning out of the 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix.
Alonso's race-ending crash
The 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix came to a premature end after Fernando Alonso crashed out from third place in the closing stages. He finished 3rd, but was unable to make the podium as he was taken to hospital.
Giancarlo Fisichella was declared the 2003 Brazilian GP race winner several days after the race, even though his Jordan caught fire in Parc Ferme.
Home crowd favorite
Brazilian driver Felipe Massa dominated the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix and, for 30 seconds, thought he had won his first World Championship.
However, Lewis Hamilton passed Timo Glock in the final turn, which was enough to give the Brit the 2008 title.
Not a great start
Sebastian Vettel's championship defense in 2012 did not get off to a great start when he was spun and hit on the opening lap of the Brazilian GP. However, he continued.
