The Red Bulls announced the trade Friday, saying they got the Article continues below ... former U.S. national team player and Toronto second-round pick in the upcoming MLS SuperDraft for New York’s first-round pick in 2014 and a third-round choice in 2016. Convey signed a new contract after the trade. A three-time MLS All Star, Convey had a goal and four assists in 21 games with Toronto. The 30-year-old started his professional career in 2000 with D.C. United and later played in England with Reading FC, helping the club earn promotion to the English Premiership after the 2005-06 season. Convey earned 46 national appearances and played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
