Galaxy picks up rights to Angel

The Los Angeles Galaxy have selected the rights to Juan Pablo

Angel in Major League Soccer’s re-entry draft.

The New York Red Bulls had declined their option on the

Colombian forward, who is their career scoring leader. He has not

said whether he intends to stay in MLS or play elsewhere.

Other players whose rights were selected were Josh Wolff (D.C.

United), Jimmy Conrad (Chivas USA), Ryan Cochrane (New England),

Cory Gibbs (Chicago), Frankie Hejduk (Kansas City), Chris Seitz

(Seattle), Jeff Cunningham (Columbus), Luke Sassano (Los Angeles),

Tyrone Marshall (Colorado) and Fred (New England).
